How I Help
Three Ways to Work Together
Brain injury can affect far more than memory. It can influence attention, emotional regulation, communication, sleep, fatigue, organization, decision-making, relationships, recovery, and a person’s ability to navigate complicated systems.
Marc’s work helps people and organizations recognize the neurological piece, understand what it may mean functionally, and develop practical ways to respond.
For Individuals & Families
Recognize what may have been missed.
Marc works with individuals and families who are trying to better understand a history of brain injury and how it may be affecting everyday functioning, recovery, relationships, treatment, and access to services.
Start a ConversationServices may include
- Facilitated brain injury screening
- Individualized brain injury education
- Practical strategy support
- Neurorecovery coaching
- Personalized education and resource materials
- Family and support-person education
- Provider and care-team consultation
- Referral and resource navigation
Important clarification: Brain injury screening is not a medical diagnosis. Screening can help identify a history or possible history of brain injury and guide education, accommodations, referrals, and next steps.
For Organizations & Systems
Build brain injury recognition into the system.
Marc works with treatment programs, behavioral health organizations, justice and reentry programs, community organizations, and other systems serving populations where brain injury is frequently overlooked. The goal is not simply to administer a screening tool. The goal is to help organizations build a practical response after brain injury is recognized.

The Screening Tool I Use: OBISSS
Marc uses the Online Brain Injury Screening and Support System (OBISSS), developed by the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators (NASHIA), to help identify possible lifetime history of brain injury and associated challenges. Screening is not diagnosis—it is a starting point for recognition, education, practical support, accommodations, referrals, and better-informed care.
Marc's work focuses on the real-world implementation of screening within substance use treatment, behavioral health, justice and reentry settings—including how organizations move from identifying brain injury to building a practical response around it.
Marc's use of OBISSS in Massachusetts is supported through MassAbility's statewide brain injury screening initiative.
Screening is the doorway. Education is the intervention.
